Thanks to a Japanese scientist’s invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures “coming out of the coffin.” Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the thriving city of Grand Plauche, Louisiana the jury is still out.

Featured Character

kate.jpg
Name: Kate Fawkes
Position: Detective
Well into her second decade on the GPPD, Kate Fawkes has been known for solving dozens of cases over the years and helping make the town a safer place. Probably her greatest accomplishment, even if it earned her some enemies, was helping to drive a vampire nest out of town that had been preying on people rather viciously. While she could never get a case to stick against them, she'd gathered enough evidence, victims and bodies that she was one step away from pressing charges. It was enough to clear out the three vampires and let Grand Plauche sleep easily again.

Plot Timeline

IC Year: 2009 (Mid-October)

[10/19/09] Where On Earth is Rebecca Noles (pt. 1): Following up on a message from Caleb, Officer Fawkes finds herself in a face to face with the vampire and his human companion. Conversation and paranoia ensue as the officer finds herself facing answers that lead only to more questions about the missing Rebecca Noles.

[10/17/09] Strippers, Tempers & Other Terrible Things: A chance meeting at the O(h) leads to odd topics, from the morality of strippers to the recent string of disappearances in the Red District. Caleb and Elena both voice their concerns while their companions (Addison & Lillian) sit silently by.

[9/23/09] No Facebook? Weirdo: A rainy night walk in the park sparks a Semi-serious sociopolitical conversation between friends.

[9/16/09] Hellcatz: A nice quiet night for lovers Alexia and Harry and a night out for Tyrian with friends comes to a grinding halt as a long lost face sets the night (and those involved) on it's heels. Sunny joins the cast…and she refuses to go peacefully into the night.
